My Testimony

    By:  Robert Stepp

I’m 48 years old serving a 21-year sentence, 2nd term. 1st term carjacking and kidnapping, 2nd degree robbery, I served nine years, and 2nd term Attempted Murder.

I’m only writing this testimony to try and encourage young people, actually all people, that God is real, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is King and loves and cares about us all.  I want all to know I am saved, sober, and serving the Lord Jesus Christ.  I am strong and confident when telling all to repent and turn your life over to Jesus.  I am deeply sorrowful to all I hurt.  My victim, his family, my family, my community, and myself.  I wish I could undo all the pain I have caused people.

I was born in Los Angeles and lived there until I was 12.  I grew up in Humboldt County.  I have smoked pot my entire life and used alcohol and drugs since I was 13 which eventually led to a life of crime.

I had a wife of 23 years and a ready-made family until a few years ago.  Because of alcohol she left, and my ready-made family went with her.

Genesis 50:20 “But as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”  I am dedicated to serving the Lord and want to give back to society.  I’m going into ministry upon release.  Praise God, Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  That is where my heart is.
