Setting Captives Free Ministries

All of us are called to set the captives free! It was the first message Jesus was recorded to have spoken from the book of Isaiah, at 61:1. (Luke 4:18-19) It is from this standpoint Jesus’ entire mission was defined.

Accordingly, we have taken this to be our calling and mission. There are all types of captivity. However, all captivity has its origin in spiritual defeat or some spiritual condition. Our goals then are to assist all people held captive in attaining spiritual deliverance and establishing a relationship with Jesus Christ from whom all liberty flows. This liberty in Christ will then grow into natural liberty which will affect every area of our lives.

God is good, He truly is the one who declares a thing from the beginning and when He brings it to pass we see that He was in it all along. We are beginning to step out in faith as God leads and meets at the point of our obedience. As we press on with God’s guidance, we will not be defeated. We are proceeding like the apostles in the book of Acts, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” (Acts 4:13) As they were, so are we. We have been taught of the Lord, in study of His Word and by His ever present leading. We are to share all we have been taught by His precious Spirit. We have seen many miracles happen along the way; and even when we faced numerous disappointments, we have seen His hand at work even then. We have seen whatsoever we put our hands to do prosper. Like John we have had tangible experiences with the Lord and we are witness thereof. Nevertheless, never take our word for absolute truth but rather be like the Bereans, go and study the WORD for yourselves and see if the things we say are true. If so let the Lord make it real to you and do what God says, and He will meet you at the point of your obedience. May God be with you and bless you in everything you put your hand to do as you remain in Christ, and walk in His Spirit…
