My Testimony

This is the second time that I have gone through the “Life Above Reproach” Discipleship Program.  The first time, I was as a student; and this time, I participated in the program as a facilitator.

While I was participating in the class as a student, I was battling some feelings of guilt which led to a period of severe depression.  At this time, the class was very helpful to me because it gave me a safe place to talk about some issues that were heavy on my heart.  The result of having that safe environment was that I came out of my depression; and now,  I am back on track, doing the work that Jesus has given me to complete.

While participating in the class for the second time, I did so in the role of facilitator.  This experience has been very beneficial to me because I have become more accountable in my Christian walk.  I’m not only more accountable to the members of the group, but I am also to all those people who are around me.  The people of this world have their eyes on those who claim to know Christ.  Some of them want to see Christians fail, while others want to see if it is possible for Christians to succeed in their faith.  In either case, these people help to hold me accountable.

In conclusion, I thank the Lord for allowing me to be a small part of His great plan here on this earth.  This class is just one way that I can help to promote the Kingdom of God while I reside here at Solano State Prison.
