TESTIMONY

One day while sitting in front of the canteen, a friend of mine was exiting the gym after he had experienced what God had to offer in his life.

He spoke to me about if I would be interested in participating in a Bible study group.  Even though I wasn’t a very religious person, he spoke so highly of the group that I knew I had to partake.

I realize now that the Lord sent him into my life.  Once I found out the name of the group, “Life Above Reproach” and the meaning, my interest grew.  When I heard that it was a 32-week program, I almost ran out of the gym.  Something held me in my seat; I can’t explain what it was!  The more I listened to Armando explain what and who God is, I knew then that I have to face my fears, insecurities, and the feelings of not being worthy.

The more and more I read the Word and listen to believers share their relationship with God, I could see the things He had done in their lives.  I am still on my faith journey discovering what my relationship is with God.  One thing that I can say for sure, my faith in God has helped me navigate through the potholes of life.  I, too, must continue to find the courage, faith, and willingness to endure whatever His challenges are for me.  Knowing He is patient, forgiving, and loving will help me in my journey of understanding what God is to me.
