Life Above Reproach

I am a man who by the grace of God has been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ.  Drugs and stealing were my destruction. This resulted in a life of dishonor, disgrace, and unworthiness.  I never thought there was any hope for me.

As I sit back and think about the things I have been through, I can see that God was always there.  In my darkest days when I was being abused as a child and overcoming this on my own, I was trying to find the answers, but it wasn’t easy.

It led me to prison at the age of 32.  Now I have Hepatitis C and am awaiting treatment.  I received a 6-year sentence for my crime, but it could have been two life sentences if it were not for the grace of God.

Coming to Christ is where I found answers, not by focusing on my past, because there is nothing good I have done.  There is one thing that I am proud of enough to brag or boast about, and that is coming to know Jesus and believing in Him.  This has been life-changing.  I say this because in my 15 years of drug addiction, I have done nothing as far as accomplishing any goals for my life.  I have stolen, killed, and destroyed.  I have stolen time away from my family who includes my parents, my wife, and my children.  I have stolen their hope for their son, for her husband, and for their father in their lives by destroying their plans for a future of a united family.

Jesus restored my place with my family.  Thank you, Jesus.  Seek out Jesus because He is the answer.  I invite you to come to Him, all who are burdened.  Take upon His yoke; it’s light and easy.  You don’t need my testimony, come and find out for yourselves.  Jesus’ love is eternal.
