Giving Thanks

            During this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been given some quality time with the Lord to reflect on my life and my walk with our Lord.

            This has been a difficult period of time because I haven’t been able to see my family, go to work, or even spend much time outdoors.  But at the same time, I have been able to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer; two things that have been lacking in my life more and more as time went by.  I have also been given time to start working on my “Board” preparation.

            I thank God for how He works things out in our lives.  Nothing is a surprise to Him, and He knows exactly what we need and when we need it.  I believe God is using this time to prepare me for bigger and better things.  Also, during this time, we have been able to keep a small group of men going in our “Life Above Reproach” class.  It has been a real blessing because it has helped me to stay focused on the Lord rather than on my circumstances.  Being together with a few brothers to discuss God’s Word and our daily issues has been so beneficial as I live through this difficult time one day at a time.  I praise God for loving me and encouraging me during every test, trial and difficult situation.

            Thank you, Jesus.
