Life Above Reproach

It goes without saying, every human being is flawed in some way, shape, or form.  Except for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there has never been a flawless person on planet earth.  Every person is different than one another and we are each broken in some way.  This is the beauty of our Almighty.  Even with our shortcomings He loves and pursues us anyway.  I love the way it is said in Ezekiel 34:12 and the Lord’s word reads, “As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out my sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.”

I can relate to that verse so much, as I’m sure many others do as well because I was a lost sheep in the dark for so long.  But my Lord found me and brought me into His flock, saving my life in the process.  I was on a destructive path heading toward eternal damnation, but He pulled me free of Satan’s grip.  I cannot stress enough how important it is to be in lockstep with Jesus throughout your everyday life.  It is so important and will change your life for the better.  You will find that there are plenty of ways to enjoy life without sin.

My life experience and transformation after accepting the Lord into my life is a testament to the power, He has to change us completely.  In the past I would forget my troubles at home by drowning them out with heavy drinking, sex, and smoking weed and cigarettes.  These sinful acts were my only escape from my reality at home and I found comfort in that.  After finally coming to the Lord, I have found my true purpose in life and have never felt so good!  I have found that my place in this world is to do God’s work and be of service.  I can see now that my walk with the Lord is seen by all those around me and that I can be His influence toward those who need Him in their lives.

I encourage each and every one of you reading this to accept the Lord into your lives.  A great way of doing that is participating in the Life Above Reproach course and learning more about God as a group or even on your own.  This program made my relationship so much stronger with Jesus and I can’t thank my brothers enough for encouraging me to join when I was just a babe.  My hope is that this testimony would give hope to those who feel lost.

As you read in this text, He does not forget us, even when we feel forgotten.  He does not abandon us when our need for Him is at its greatest!  He is all forgiving and will always give us a second chance when those in the flesh will not!
