Life Above Reproach

My Testimony by Amory Dorsey

To whom it may concern:

A troubled past or burdened spirit, and all that you hear is the voice crying in the wilderness.  A path now shown to a broken home with just the corner stone holding it all together.

My name is Amory and I wrote what you just read while I was incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections.  For a long time, I have possessed an attitude that negatively shaped my lifestyle rendering it dysfunctional.  I used drugs, alcohol, and violence to control any situation.

I have now learned that to be truly whole, one must confess their wrong-doing and acknowledge the harm they have done.  In my growth, I have been able to move past my insecurities through the love of Jesus Christ, and through self-evaluation, it is possible to repent to turn my life around and begin in a new direction.  So, now I pray that you will begin in a new direction.  May you be blessed on your journey, traveling mercies.
