MY TESTIMONY FOR JESUS CHRIST

By:  Eddie Lowery

Since I have been in prison, God has shown me many things.  First, He said, “Eddie, I just put a speed bump before you so you can slow down.  I did it for you my son to learn, and I love you as you were drifting away from me.”

During this prison term, I have met some very interesting and solid brothers on my journey.    Most of them were lifers and they helped me so much in my walk. They helped lay every stone for this foundation that was placed down in front of me.  It was not easy at all.

When I felt like giving up, these strong brothers made a way.  They were right behind me and pushing me forward telling me, “Eddie, you can do it!  God did not give up on you and why should we?”

I personally want to thank all my Christian brothers that made this possible and made it happen.  Not just spiritually, but also mentally and physically like when I needed help with food, clothes, hat, and gloves to keep me warm.  My walk became their walk even when they were carrying that extra load.  They never gave up on me.  They helped me with this walk to grow closer to Jesus.

Through the brothers, my lamp is shining much brighter.  I can forgive much easier than before as my mind is more relaxed knowing if I have a fallout that I can call on them.  I never want to be the “old Eddie.”  I like the change God has done in my life.  My mind is free knowing I can go for help.  A help that does not judge, but just forgives.

Thank you, Jesus, for forgiving my sins and being that lamp unto my feet, so I can see my path clearly.  I am saved only by His grace and mercy, and He has given me second chances.

Whoever reads this, I did not copy this out of a book, but from the heart.  God is real and prayers do work.  Never give up on God because God the Father will never give up on you.  He made a big difference in my life.

Thank you, brothers, for not giving up on me.  God bless.  God loves you, and I do too!

Taking this bible class has truly helped me grow.  I want to especially thank many brothers for their efforts with this course, even when we got shut down because of Covid-19.  They still did their studies.  Thank you, brothers, for sticking with it and saying yes to the call.

God needs strong brothers in His family.  He’s got a calling for your life, and He will show you great and mighty things.  Amen!  I would also like to thank my friend, Joe K. VanEaton, for editing this paper.
