Life Above Reproach

Revelation:  an enlightening or astonishing disclosure—it’s a gift of God to be able to read the word, to hear the word, but also to be a doer of the word.  Reading the gospel and about the apostles, who were with Christ, were chosen to travel with and help Him in His ministry.  They were of all ages, ethnicities, and occupations.  It is the same today as I read and hear the word, how imperative it is that I tell all people about Christ.  How He has comforted me, encouraged me to follow Him, and allowed the Holy Spirit to guide me on every decision that I make.  Also to ask the Lord in my prayers when I wake up in the morning, what is your will Lord for me to do?  So I humble myself and admit to myself that I am helpless without You in my life.  I need You Lord.  How thankful I am that you have come into my life through the Holy Spirit.  I’m not perfect and I want to improve.  Show where I can.  When I face a problem, give strength to keep on striving to overcome the situation. If I fail, give me the patience to stay the course and to perceive the possibilities of turning my situation into a miracle.  I sensed a miracle was happening in my life right then when I joined this group of brothers.  We have grown together, we confess, we talk about our doubts, our fears, and we comforted each other as the Lord has comforted us.  I am never alone as the Lord keeps His promises.  I have learned to be content with all that the Lord has given me and to show compassion to all people.  This is the kind of love that prompted Jesus to come to earth to search for the lost people and save them—an extraordinary love!   God sought me before I was a believer.  The Lord disciplines the ones He loves, although discipline isn’t good at the time, the joy of suffering with the Lord is nothing compared to the suffering He did for me on the cross.  So in you every day walk, if you dream and achieve without the help of God, you dream too small.  Make your dreams big enough for God to fit in, for God dreams are always large that when they become true with His help, be humble.  When the success is realized, you’ll not forget who really gets the credit.

Your Brother in Christ,

Steven Stevenson
